How to find out the type of dbf files? I wanted to import dbf files into MS Access. It doesn't work because I didn't know the type of these dbf files and therefore tried all Dbase and Foxpro drivers without success. Not a database file All on a sudden almost all the .dbf files got corrupted and showing 'not a database file' whenever I tried with fpd26 or dbu. I tried with your utility. It splited a single file to so many .txt files but couldn't recover the original data. Probably due to my ignorance I mishadled the same. Really in trouble.

Does not work on many problems. As a matter of fact I could not find any corrupt dbf files that it recovered as much as free application did. It was absolutely useless on files that had more then 2GB. When left to it's own repair it recovered less then 20% of the records and placed them in the wrong fields even while displaying all records properly.When I sent for support, I received no answer at all... no matter how many times I requested it.Do not waste your money on this garbage.

Someone recently deleted a lot of files by accident - the same day they were created so they had to be recovered from the trash. I used 2 different programs to do that - GetDataBack and Ontrack. All files were corrupt - Excel Recovery Tool 2.0 was only able to recover 1 out of 75 files - very disappointing.

sadly, it does nothing for corrupted formatting so I ended up saving the file as comma delimited text then creating an entirely new spreadsheet from it to reduce the file size from 15263kb to 57kb

Opinion Good evening The problem is that my HDD is not seen on computer. It is impossible to work with all the information on it - it seems to be completely lost. So I was trying to find any programme which could help to restore the files. Some files were recovered but I\'m not sure if they are the ones I needed. After a write error by Windows, my USB connected disk became inaccessible. DiskInternals managed to retrieve many of the structure and original filenames successfully in a relatively short time.

Good Product Pretty Good Software for restoration of important docs

Excellent product but speed... What an excellent product. Would be quite happy to roll out company-wide as well as recommend to clients. But it is a little on the slow side when cloning a drive. 2 hours for a 160GB drive via USB 2.0 (perhaps this is the norm?). Fully satisfied though!

Worth a try I have only used the program once and that was to try and recover from a catastrophic disk failure. I didn't work: but I guess that is the nature of the problem.I'm glad to have the program available in the case of less dire problems!
